Registered Nurse – Rural Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join Biloela Hospital, a 20‑bed rural facility serving the Banana region. You will provide hands‑on, holistic nursing care across emergency, inpatient and outpatient services, using your generalist skills to guide patients through their care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, wards and outpatient clinics.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team and the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure seamless care transitions.
• Provide emergency care when required and support Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in delivering safe, calm care.
• Contribute to the development and review of clinical pathways and practice guidelines.
• Utilise digital health systems and participate in on‑call and leadership opportunities as needed.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA and a valid practising certificate.
• Experience in a general ward setting with emergency skills, or a strong willingness to learn them.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to quality improvement and continuous learning.
