Registered Nurse – Primary Health (Casual)

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred primary health care to individuals in on‑shore immigration detention centres. As a Casual Registered Nurse you will provide safe, high‑quality clinical services and support the wellbeing of detainees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer immunisations, medication, and perform blood collection.
• Provide wound management, health promotion and education.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff.
• Uphold the dignity, culture, values and rights of each detainee.

Required profile

• AHPRA‑registered General Nurse with unrestricted registration.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in an operational (non‑telehealth) setting.
• Strong ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication, critical‑thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Adaptable, flexible and passionate about primary health care.
