Registered Nurse – General & Colorectal Surgery

About the role

Join the Knight Ward, a 40‑bed General and Colorectal Surgery Unit at Sydney Adventist Hospital, providing post‑surgical care for gastroenterology, colorectal and general surgery patients. You will work closely with a supportive team to ensure each patient feels safe, comfortable and well‑cared for during their recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient‑centred nursing care throughout the post‑operative period.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager.
• Monitor and manage complex patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months acute care experience in a hospital setting, preferably surgical or medical units.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.
• Full Australian working rights.

• Post‑operative care management.
