Emergency Medicine Registrar – Werribee Mercy Hospital

About the role

The new Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital is expanding and needs Registrars to help launch a modern, high‑capability service. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art facilities and contribute to delivering high‑quality emergency care for the growing Wyndham community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care in a 4‑bay resuscitation area, 16‑bed Short Stay Unit and dedicated fast‑track, paediatric and behavioural zones.
• Rotate through complementary specialties such as ICU, Anaesthetics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology to meet non‑ED training requirements.
• Complete the Paediatric Logbook component and participate in weekly protected education sessions.

Required profile

• Registered medical practitioner with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated high standards of practice and patient‑centred care.
• Flexibility to work within the Public Emergency Health Services system; prior public ED experience is advantageous.
• Commitment to teamwork, collaboration and thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
