Regional Sales Agronomist, QLD

About the role

Yara Australia, a specialist in crop nutrition with its head office in Brisbane, is looking for a Regional Sales Agronomist for the Bowen and Tablelands regions of North Queensland. The role drives profitable growth and market share by executing Yara's commercial strategy, promoting the full product portfolio and strengthening relationships with growers, distributors and industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for the product portfolio, focusing on key crops and customer segments, and use agronomic expertise to influence grower decisions.
• Collaborate with the commercial team on pricing, share market and competitor intelligence, and build relationships with distributors, agronomists and growers.
• Develop and manage strategic customer accounts, and create grower networks to increase demand.
• Plan and deliver grower meetings, field days, workshops and technical presentations, and coordinate crop demonstration programs.
• Lead regional sales planning, budgeting, forecasting and pipeline management, and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee customer order fulfillment and manage regional inventory with Operations to meet market demand.
• Run sales promotions with Marketing and keep customer, opportunity and market data up to date in the CRM system.
• Gather and communicate market intelligence and contribute to business planning and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of agricultural sales experience.
• Good knowledge of agronomic principles in tropical crops.
• Extensive existing contacts and networks in the North Queensland agricultural sector.
• Excellent English, both oral and written, and proven planning and organisation skills.
• Permanent Australian work rights required; the role is strictly based in North Queensland.
