Regional HR Lead – Australia & Poland

About the role

Nearmap is seeking a Regional HR Lead to partner with employees and managers across Australia and Poland. Reporting to the CHRO, you will translate global people strategy into local action, coach leaders, and shape culture as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Translate global People strategy into regional plans that reflect local market, cultural and legal context.
• Coach and advise leaders on performance, development, employment legislation and employee relations matters.
• Handle investigations, restructures and redundancies, working with the CHRO and external counsel as needed.
• Maintain compliance with local laws and Nearmap’s Code of Conduct, updating policies and best practices.
• Own global programs such as the ESG strategy and partner with People Ops on payroll, onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Shape engagement and culture strategy with Workplace Ops Managers, championing Nearmap’s values.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clear, actionable solutions.
• Balanced approach to policy enforcement and empathetic employee support.
• Hands‑on operator with strategic vision, able to manage details and long‑term goals.
• Proactive self‑starter who identifies needs and drives initiatives forward.
