Reconciliation Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

HomeMade is seeking a detail‑oriented Reconciliation Accountant to join its Finance team. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of provider invoice payments, Services Australia claims, cashflows and co‑contribution debts.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile provider invoice payments, identify and resolve discrepancies within agreed timeframes.
• Match Services Australia claims against payment data, investigate and resolve exceptions.
• Reconcile cashflows related to provider payments and claim receipts.
• Track and support collection of co‑contribution/personal contribution debts.
• Maintain clear audit trails and accurate records of reconciliation data flows.
• Prepare and deliver reconciliation reports to the Finance Manager and stakeholders.
• Investigate reconciling items promptly and escalate material issues.
• Support month‑end close by ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Identify and recommend improvements to reconciliation processes, data flows and system tools.
• Collaborate with Finance Operations, Claims & Payments, subsidiary Finance teams and Group Finance as required.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Progress towards or completion of CA/CPA qualification is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
