Quarry Manager

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead operations at the Golden Grove Quarry in South Australia. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – Aggregates, you will be responsible for safety, environmental stewardship, plant and equipment performance, and achieving financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day quarry operations, including development, environmental management and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Make business decisions to meet KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and cost control.
• Lead and develop the team, fostering a safety‑first culture and reducing risk exposure.
• Drive rehabilitation efforts and maintain the quarry’s reputation as a sustainable partner.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a quarry manager or supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
• Strong leadership with a track record of delivering transformational change in complex environments.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to zero‑harm safety mindset and risk management.
