Project Coordinator for Student Accommodation Refurbishment

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and completion of major refurbishment works across two purpose‑built student accommodation assets in Adelaide, South Australia. This 12‑month fixed‑term position offers hands‑on experience on live, occupied buildings and exposure to client‑side capital works management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor two live refurbishment projects, ensuring the head contractor meets specifications and timelines while flagging issues early.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections, coordinating work sequencing around residents and building operations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor, Greystar’s Construction & Development team, Operations, and residents, maintaining clear communication and safety standards.
• Prepare progress updates, quality reports, and monthly/quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and capital partners.
• Support procurement of client‑supplied materials and FF&E and assist with smooth project and unit handovers.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and curious about building construction and management.
• Recent graduate or 1‑2 years experience in graduate, project coordination or assistant PM roles, preferably in construction or related fields.
• Qualification (or working towards) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Clear, confident communication with ability to build trust across contractors, internal teams and residents.
