Qualified Lawyers – Multiple Australian Offices

About the role

Allens is seeking up to 10 qualified lawyers to join its offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. This permanent, full‑time position offers a hybrid working model and exposure to complex, high‑value transactions across a range of practice areas.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate legal documents and agreements for clients.
• Manage matters and transactions, including due diligence and discovery/E‑discovery.
• Lead negotiations, provide complex legal advice and oversee junior lawyers.
• Develop new business, write pitch materials and contribute to seminars.

Required profile

• Experience in one or more practice areas such as Disputes & Litigation, M&A, Banking & Finance, Technology, Media & Telecom, Funds/Pensions, Employment, Tax, IP, etc.
• Background in a well‑regarded law firm or a mix of private practice and in‑house work, with proven matter‑management and client‑relationship skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior lawyers, lead negotiations and contribute to business development.
