Project Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer to deliver work packages on metro and regional infrastructure projects across Victoria. Based in South Melbourne, you will collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, designers and clients to ensure safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned work packages safely, on program and within budget.
• Coordinate design, procurement and site interfaces.
• Manage subcontractors, monitor progress and quality.
• Resolve technical queries and delivery risks with project teams.
• Monitor safety, quality and environmental requirements on site.
• Prepare progress and cost reports for the project team.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or a related field.
• Advanced programming and planning skills.
• Experience in detailed planning of local roads with traffic signals.
• Experience planning in confined spaces.
• Strong commercial acumen with confidence in managing contracts and forecasting.
• Advanced communication skills and ability to build relationships with subcontractors, authorities, internal staff and clients.
