Principal Civil Designer / Discipline Lead

About the role

Egis is seeking a Principal Civil Designer with over 10 years of experience to lead its Western Australian design team. The role provides high‑level technical support for multi‑disciplinary civil projects and offers the opportunity to step into a Discipline Lead position.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑disciplinary complex civil projects ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company standards.
• Direct preparation of preliminary and detailed designs, construction documentation, and specifications.
• Allocate resources and manage schedules to deliver design drawings on time and within budget.
• Mentor junior designers and promote a culture of technical excellence.
• Participate in business groups through meetings, workshops, and planning sessions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of civil design experience in a consultancy environment serving public and private sector clients in Western Australia.
• Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent senior experience).
• Full driver’s licence and ability to work on site in Perth CBD.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12D design software.
• Advanced use of AutoCAD.
• Experience with MicroStation and general CAD tools.
