Pricing and AI Specialist

About the role

IAG, the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand, is looking for a Pricing and AI Specialist to help shape the future of intermediate insurance pricing through AI. The role works alongside pricing, governance and technology teams to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions that improve efficiency, insight and decision making. It is a permanent full-time position based in either Darling Park 2, Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of AI initiatives that improve pricing processes, decision support and commercial outcomes across the Pricing function.
• Design, build and deploy AI-powered pricing solutions using agentic AI, generative AI and machine learning.
• Partner with pricing, governance and technology stakeholders to identify, prioritise and deliver high-value AI use cases.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the Pricing Technology and AI roadmap.
• Establish monitoring, governance and responsible AI practices for scalable, sustainable delivery.
• Coach team members, share knowledge and support the adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.

Required profile

• Experience delivering AI, machine learning, analytics or automation solutions with measurable business value.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and a collaborative, problem-solving approach.

Required skills

• AI engineering, cloud technologies, APIs and scalable AI deployment.
• Hands-on experience designing AI agents, agentic workflows or generative AI applications.
• Experience with GCP, Azure or AWS and modern MLOps practices is highly regarded.
