Preparation/Laboratory Technician

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a casual Preparation/Laboratory Technician for its Muswellbrook site. The role involves using specialised equipment and manual handling to prepare coal samples and conduct laboratory testing, including simulation of coal production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare coal samples using specialised laboratory equipment.
• Perform manual handling tasks and simulate coal production processes for testing.
• Conduct laboratory tests to assess coal properties.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Certificate III or IV in Laboratory skills (preferred but not required).
• Valid NSW driver’s licence and ability to pass an Order 43 Medical.
• Willingness to work shift work and weekend overtime.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory sample preparation techniques.
• Ability to operate specialised testing equipment.
