General Labourer – Crushing & Screening

About the role

This hands‑on position involves operating and maintaining crushing and screening equipment to prepare mineral, rock, and soil samples for laboratory analysis. Full training is provided, with opportunities to upskill and progress.

Key responsibilities

• Crush and grind samples to required particle size using various equipment.
• Screen samples with sieves and shaker tables to separate size fractions.
• Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment safely between work areas.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specs and quality protocols.
• Document preparation activities and keep detailed records.
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to meet specifications and turnaround times.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and understanding of relevant regulations.
