About the role
AECOM is expanding its Ports & Maritime capability across Australia and is looking for experienced Design and Project Managers to lead complex maritime infrastructure projects. You will manage design delivery, client relationships and multidisciplinary teams on ports, marine structures and coastal developments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design management and delivery of ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure and waterfront developments.
- Own and manage packages of work, accountable for scope, programme, technical delivery and client outcomes.
- Coordinate with AECOM teams nationally and globally to deliver complex projects.
- Act as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships with port authorities, government agencies and private sector clients.
- Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including design, commercial management, programme coordination and multidisciplinary technical integration.
Required profile
- Significant experience as a Design Manager, Technical Lead, Project Manager or Senior Engineer in ports, coastal or maritime infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on complex maritime projects.
- Proven ability to deliver design and planning for ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure or waterfront developments.
- Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management skills with port authorities, government agencies or major infrastructure clients.
- Experience coordinating teams across multiple offices, regions or international environments.
