Portfolio Development Manager - Vertical Villages

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is seeking an accomplished property development leader to join its Seniors Communities team as Portfolio Development Manager - Vertical Villages. The role leads a portfolio of complex high-density residential, mixed-use, seniors living, affordable housing and social housing developments from acquisition through to completion and operational handover, reporting to the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex development projects across all stages of the development lifecycle, working with executive leaders, government stakeholders, consultants and delivery partners.
• Drive feasibility modelling, investment analysis and commercial decision-making to maximise value and outcomes.
• Develop and execute project strategies aligned with organisational goals and community needs.
• Lead procurement, tendering and contract management processes.
• Oversee governance, risk management and compliance.
• Champion sustainability, accessibility and best-practice design principles.
• Mentor and develop development professionals.

Required profile

• Degree in Property, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience leading complex high-rise residential, mixed-use, seniors living or master-planned developments.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently and mentoring teams.
• Credible stakeholder manager and communicator.

Required skills

• Feasibility analysis, financial modelling, investment assessment and commercial decision-making.
• Procurement, contract administration and construction delivery.
• Negotiation and communication skills.
