Part‑time Tax Agent – Neutral Bay

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Tax Agent to join our Neutral Bay office, working directly with individual and small‑business clients and helping to grow our practice.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with individual and small‑business clients to discuss tax obligations, returns and strategies.
• Review and sign off tax returns prepared by junior staff.
• Mentor and supervise junior accountants and graduates on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Maintain high standards of client service and technical accuracy across the team.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for complex client queries.

Required profile

• Current TPB registration as a Registered Tax Agent.
• Strong experience in individual and small‑business taxation.
• Confidence conducting client‑facing interviews and consultations.
• Genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior staff.
• Preferably semi‑retired, returning practitioner or experienced professional seeking a flexible part‑time role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero.
• Experience using common tax software.
