Part Time Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the role

Join Ability Action Australia, a national therapy provider, as a Behaviour Support Practitioner working part‑time in North Tasmania. You will collaborate with people with disability, their families and a multidisciplinary team to create meaningful change.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver evidence‑based Behaviour Support Plans using a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
• Work towards reducing and eliminating restrictive practices.
• Build skills and confidence of families, carers and support networks.
• Advocate for participants and ensure their voices are heard.

Required profile

• Degree in an allied health discipline (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work).
• Experience developing, implementing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans.
• Proficient, Advanced or Specialist status as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• Passion for working in the disability sector.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary allied health teams.
