About the role

InfraBuild Recycling is looking for a safety-focused, reliable Oxy Cutter to join its Laverton team. The role uses oxy-fuel cutting equipment to cut and process steel and scrap metal to required sizes, supporting yard and operational activities. It is a permanent, full-time position with regular overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate oxy-fuel cutting equipment to cut and process steel and scrap metal
• Cut material to required sizes and specifications
• Inspect and maintain cutting equipment to ensure safe operation
• Identify hazards and follow all site safety procedures
• Assist with general yard and operational activities as required
• Work collaboratively with operators and other site team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Required profile

• Previous oxy cutting, scrap metal, metal fabrication or heavy industrial experience
• Confidence using oxy-fuel cutting equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in an industrial environment
• Reliable, practical and team-focused approach
• Relevant tickets or licences where required for the site

• Pay of $44.81 per hour plus super, 1% site allowance, 15% afternoon shift allowance, $300 wellbeing allowance per year and regular overtime
