Underground HD Fitter - FIFO

About the role

Gold Fields is looking for an Underground HD Fitter to join its Mobile Maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine in Laverton, Western Australia. The mine is owner-operated and investing heavily in modern mining technology and equipment. The position is full time, with a direct 1-hour flight from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 roster covering day and night shifts.

Required profile

• Australian recognised Heavy Mechanical Trade qualification or Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology
• Experience working in a mining environment, preferably underground
• Proven mechanical experience on heavy mining equipment across servicing, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair, with the ability to interpret hydraulic systems and schematics
• Valid WA manual driver's licence at minimum
• Desirable: automotive air conditioning licence, high-risk licences (forklift, EWP, basic rigging and dogging), exposure to SAP, and recent completion of an apprenticeship
