Operations Manager

About the role

Fuse Energy is launching a new business unit in Australia and needs an Operations Manager to build the operation from the ground up in Melbourne. This fast‑paced, hybrid role offers high ownership and direct exposure to global leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Set up core operations for the Australian unit, including processes, systems and vendor selection.
• Own critical launch workstreams end‑to‑end and drive them to completion with minimal direction.
• Build operating rhythm, reporting and KPIs to keep the business running smoothly.
• Work across commercial, regulatory, finance, people and customer functions as priorities shift.
• Identify bottlenecks quickly and fix them, either by creating processes or hands‑on execution.
• Manage relationships with partners, suppliers and stakeholders across the Australian market.
• Act as the link between the Australian team and Fuse’s global leadership in London.
• Use data and AI tools to improve decision‑making and eliminate manual work.

Required profile

• 1 to 10 years of experience in a demanding environment.
• Strong academic record from a top university.
• Background in investment banking, consulting or high‑growth tech.
• Exceptionally driven with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Sharp problem‑solver comfortable with ambiguous challenges.
• Ability to operate without existing structure and build it as you go.
• Clear communicator able to work with stakeholders at every level.
