About the role
The Operations and Compliance Officer will provide essential operational, project and compliance support for Griffith Health’s specialised facilities, teaching and research labs, and clinical trial activities. Working closely with the Technical Manager, the role ensures smooth outcomes across multiple campuses.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate routine workflows such as facility inductions, contractor access, equipment service documentation, training activities and meeting follow‑ups.
- Maintain operational and compliance records, registers, databases, SharePoint sites and equipment service logs.
- Act as the first point of contact for stakeholder enquiries, triage requests and escalate complex or high‑risk matters.
- Support audits, risk assessments, SOP reviews, financial administration and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Undertake financial transactions using university finance systems, including purchase orders, invoice requests and credit‑card reconciliation.
Required profile
- Relevant Health or Science degree or equivalent experience in specialised facility environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing administration, coordination and operational support in a complex service setting, preferably in PC1/PC2 facilities.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and recognise escalation needs.

Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive).
- Experience using SharePoint for content management and document control.
- Ability to operate university finance systems for purchase orders and invoice processing.

- Full‑time, permanent position based at Griffith University Gold Coast with occasional work at other sites.
- Salary range $82,415 – $92,456 per annum (HEW Level 5) plus 17% superannuation.
