Ocean Freight Import Operations Supervisor – Brisbane

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Ocean Freight Import Operations Supervisor to lead its Brisbane station teams across Ocean Import, Customer, and Transport Operations. You will ensure efficient, compliant execution of operational activities while delivering exceptional customer outcomes and driving productivity and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop teams in Ocean Import, Customer and Transport Operations.
• Manage performance, onboarding, training, engagement and development for approximately eight employees.
• Ensure all activities comply with DHL SOPs, customer requirements, service commitments and regulatory obligations.
• Drive productivity, service excellence and gross profit performance across operational functions.
• Monitor performance, implement continuous‑improvement initiatives and act as primary escalation point for issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in International Freight Forwarding, preferably Ocean Freight operations.
• Demonstrated leadership managing and developing operational teams.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to handle competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full working rights within Australia.
