NPI / Tech Transfer Engineer (18‑month contract)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an NPI / Tech Transfer Engineer to support the launch and ongoing optimisation of a duplicate production line. The role focuses on ensuring manufacturing readiness, compliance and smooth transfer of technology within an 18‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the duplicate line for production in line with ISO 13485 standards.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to install stations, tools and equipment.
• Perform validation activities such as station validation, tool validation and gauge R&R studies.
• Document all activities and serve as the first point of contact for production staff to resolve issues.
• Manage engineering change requests for processes, equipment and production methods.
• Liaise with cross‑functional stakeholders, maintain clear status reporting and ensure timelines are met.

Required profile

• Engineering or technology qualification.
• 0‑3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Full Australian work rights; no visa sponsorship or relocation support.
• Proactive, assertive attitude with a willingness to learn and collaborate.

Required skills

• ISO 13485 compliance.
• Validation procedures (station, tool, gauge R&R).
