Senior Process Engineer – Vehicle Reconditioning

About the role

Carma is looking for a senior‑level Process Engineer to own and evolve the systems, processes and operating models that drive its vehicle reconditioning operations. You will apply Lean Manufacturing and industrial engineering principles to make production environments safer, more efficient and ready to scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design the blueprint for future production facilities, including layout, workstation design, production flow and material movement.
• Lead continuous improvement of systems, processes and operating models for vehicle reconditioning.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering techniques to boost safety, quality, productivity and consistency.
• Identify bottlenecks and waste through value‑stream mapping, root‑cause analysis and process analysis.
• Develop standard work, production standards and replicable operating processes across sites.
• Build labour and capacity models to support future growth and workforce planning.
• Use data to understand throughput, capacity and utilisation, turning insights into practical improvements.
• Design and optimise workflows and facility layouts using CAD or equivalent software.
• Develop training frameworks, competency matrices and onboarding approaches for production teams.
• Research and recommend equipment, tooling and technology to improve operational performance.
• Partner with Engineering and Technology teams to evolve production systems and manufacturing technology.
• Establish quality‑assurance processes and production controls to ensure consistent delivery standards.
• Assess ergonomic and safety opportunities and integrate them into workplace and process design.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in process engineering or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to optimise production performance.
• Experience designing facility layouts and production workflows.
