About the role
The Australian Government is recruiting senior leaders to serve as the National Anti‑Corruption Commission (NACC) Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. These senior positions guide a powerful, independent integrity agency responsible for investigating serious or systemic corruption across the Commonwealth public sector.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the NACC’s strategic direction and operational activities.
- Oversee investigations, reporting and the exercise of coercive powers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Parliament, other integrity agencies and the public.
- Promote public confidence in the integrity of the Commonwealth sector.
- Support the Chief Executive Officer and senior staff in delivering the agency’s mandate.
Required profile
- Retired Judge of a federal, state or territory court, or a legal practitioner with at least five years of enrolment.
- Demonstrated record of achievement and a strong commitment to integrity.
- Willingness to serve a term of up to five years on a full‑time basis.
- Readiness to travel between NACC offices in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
