Commercial & Contracts Manager

About the role

CAE is seeking an experienced Commercial & Contracts Manager to join its Legal, Contracts and Commercial team in Homebush, NSW (or Brisbane, QLD). The role oversees contract governance, configuration management, and ensures compliance with contractual and export‑control obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager in day‑to‑day contract administration and document management.
• Maintain the Document Management System, including configuration of contracts and related CDRL items.
• Own and manage contract change proposals, surveys, and quotations.
• Administer subcontractor and supplier relationships, including insurance and risk management.
• Draft recommendations, guide actions for the Program Manager, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of contract management experience.
• Demonstrated experience with ASDEFCON in acquisition or support environments.
• Proven ability to solve problems proactively and mitigate commercial risks.
• Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Eligibility for SECRET (NV1) Defence security clearance, preferably already held.
