Mechanical Design Engineer (Mining Water)

About the role

This position offers a Mechanical Engineer the chance to expand technical design expertise on complex mining water infrastructure projects across Western Australia. You will work within a highly experienced engineering team, contributing from concept through to detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical design for mining water infrastructure, including pumps, pipelines and associated equipment.
• Design and coordinate mechanical pipework, pumping systems and related components.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, controls and drafting teams.
• Participate in design reviews and Safety in Design workshops.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, OEMs and internal engineering teams.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations and design deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design within mining, water or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of pumps, pipelines and mechanical systems.
• Practical engineering mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary designs is advantageous.
• CPEng accreditation or progress towards it is desirable.
