Manager, Governance & Reporting (Regulatory Change)

About the role

The Manager, Governance & Reporting (Regulatory Change) supports Australia Retail in managing non‑financial regulatory risk. You will provide regulatory impact assessments, coordinate engagement across products and customer journeys, and ensure that risk insights are transparent and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Tri­age and coordinate regulatory engagement across divisional processes, products and customer journeys.
• Interpret Group Risk policies, standards and regulatory obligations, translating them into business language.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date regulatory pipeline for Australia Retail by working with stakeholders on applicability assessments.
• Document and assess the impact of new regulations on products, services, digital channels and customers.
• Integrate regulatory risk requirements into business processes to enhance the customer experience.
• Support risk strategy and governance initiatives, balancing business, customer and regulatory needs.
• Prepare risk insights, analysis and reporting for divisional governance and decision‑making.
• Escalate material risk issues, control failures or non‑compliance matters to senior management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management within a banking environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey complex regulatory matters to business stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and manage multiple regulatory projects simultaneously.
