Management Accountant – Manufacturing

About the role

Lush is seeking a hands‑on Management Accountant to join its Villawood manufacturing operation. The role will own the month‑end close, inventory and cost accounting, and act as a finance business partner to the Manufacturing Director, providing insight that drives operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Manufacturing Director, delivering analysis, commentary and guidance for decision‑making.
• Own the month‑end close for the manufacturing entity, including inventory journals, cost of goods and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Prepare and review closing stock valuations, goods in transit and opening stock reversals.
• Reconcile manufacturing sales and purchases against retail counterparts, investigating discrepancies.
• Maintain cost prices across SKUs, covering packaging, consumables and finished goods.
• Manage wastage reporting and ensure correct GL treatment for waste categories.
• Support preparation of management accounts and commentary for the manufacturing entity.
• Collaborate with the Villawood manufacturing team to align financial processes with operational needs.

Required profile

• Hands‑on management accountant with experience in manufacturing finance.
• Comfortable working with complex data and asking probing questions before conclusions.
• Committed to accuracy and understands the business impact of each journal entry.
• Ability to act as a trusted finance business partner to senior operational leaders.
