Management Accountant

About the role

NEPEAN is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its shared services finance team in Bayswater, Perth. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead management reporting, forecasting and business analysis across multiple entities, providing commercial insights that support strategic decisions in a fast‑growing global manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, performance reports and lead the month‑end close, including reconciliations, intercompany transactions, GST, revenue and COGS analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and monitor cash flow and working capital performance.
• Review project budgets, forecasts, margins, WIP, labour recovery and material costs; partner with operations to explain performance drivers.
• Support pricing, business cases, capital expenditure and strategic initiatives with data‑driven insights.
• Assist with finance transformation, process improvement, reporting standardisation, statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in manufacturing or project accounting.
• Ability to deliver accurate, timely reporting and translate financial results into clear commercial insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with senior leadership and operational teams.

Required skills

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) and a degree in accounting or finance.
