Maintenance Officer / Public Area Attendant

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Officer / Public Area Attendant for its Oaks Brisbane Woolloongabba Suites. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas and facilities are safe, functional and presented to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general property repairs and maintenance as required.
• Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance programme.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house areas.
• Provide induction and supervision of external contractors.
• Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules.
• Support the Maintenance Manager with contractor works and maintenance projects.

Required profile

• Previous hands‑on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programmes.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Availability to work a 7‑day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
