Food and Beverage Team Leader

About the role

The Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Team Leader to support daily operations across its outlets, including Room Service, La Boca Restaurant and Conference & Events. This hands‑on role focuses on delivering high service standards, guest satisfaction and efficient team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and support Food & Beverage team members during shifts, including onboarding new staff.
• Allocate duties, brief staff on daily promotions and service requirements, and ensure outlets are set up to hotel standards.
• Provide hands‑on service across outlets as needed and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Monitor service standards, identify improvement opportunities and promote upselling to meet revenue targets.
• Assist with stock control, cash handling, POS transactions and compliance with food safety, RSA and WHS policies.

Required profile

• Previous Food & Beverage experience in a hotel, restaurant or bar environment.
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience within Food & Beverage.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current NSW RSA Certificate (essential) and willingness to obtain a National Police Check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems, preferably Micros.
