Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead the on‑site operations of Steves Nedlands, a fine wine and food venue in Perth’s western suburbs. This full‑time position oversees the dining room, bar and function areas, ensuring a seamless guest experience across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations, including reservations, floor service and function coordination for up to 250 guests.
• Lead, schedule, train and coach front‑of‑house staff, fostering a professional and positive workplace culture.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain consistent food and beverage quality, and support wine and menu promotions.
• Monitor guest feedback, uphold service standards and ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Strong focus on customer service with proven experience in premium or fine‑dining environments.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, train and manage front‑of‑house teams.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating guests, staff and kitchen/bar colleagues.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of food & beverage operations, menu knowledge and wine service.
• Basic stock control and inventory practices.
• Knowledge of local licensing, health and safety regulations.
