Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Vinidex is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join the maintenance team at its manufacturing facility in Toowoomba. The role involves troubleshooting electrical faults, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring production equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct breakdown and reactive maintenance across the site and facilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and plant performance.
• Apply a solutions‑focused approach to fault finding, preventative maintenance and breakdown response.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work history within the MEX/CMMS system.
• Support maintenance shutdowns, reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Current Australian Electrical Licence (essential).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of the Electrical Safety Act, Australian Wiring Standards and safe work practices.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems in a fast‑paced production setting.
• Proficiency using CMMS systems (MEX or equivalent); SAP experience is highly regarded.
