Linux Administrator

About the role

Leidos Australia is looking for experienced Linux Administrators to join the AGO GEO SPACES program. You will work in a secure, high‑compliance environment supporting mission‑critical systems that underpin national security technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for complex Linux issues, minimizing business disruption.
• Administer, maintain, and monitor the Linux server environment and associated infrastructure.
• Manage virtualised environments (VMware, KVM) and physical systems such as HP OneView and GreenLake.
• Develop and apply system configurations using Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and manage the SOE lifecycle with Kickstart.
• Administer accounts, permissions and authentication services (LDAP, OpenLDAP) while ensuring security compliance.
• Implement security controls, including firewalls and mandatory access controls, and automate tasks with Bash, Python or Perl.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with an active TSPV security clearance.
• Extensive experience with enterprise‑grade Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• Proven Level 2/3 incident management experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong capability in managing user access and authentication services.
