Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Teaching & Research (Law)

About the role

Macquarie Law School is seeking highly motivated law academics for full‑time, continuing positions starting in 2026. The role combines teaching, research and service, with a focus on core law units and interdisciplinary impact.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including core units such as civil procedure, commercial law and private law.
• Develop and deliver innovative pedagogic approaches that enhance student learning and professional skills.
• Secure research funding and contribute to the School’s research agenda, including interdisciplinary projects.
• Engage in service and leadership activities for the university and external partners.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field of law.
• Demonstrated record of high‑quality research publications and successful grant acquisition.
• Experience teaching core law units and ability to contribute to a broad spectrum of discipline areas.
• Evidence of service or leadership roles within the university sector or beyond.
• Existing right to work in Australia (overseas applicants welcome).
