Lead Product Developer - DCM Platform

About the role

District Content Management (DCM) is looking for a Lead Product Developer to join its Product Development and Solution Implementation team. The role suits a technically focused PHP developer with significant experience in Drupal or Laravel, who wants to work in an early-stage, fast-growing SaaS business and help a team of developers learn and grow.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical design and architecture at product and feature level based on an existing code base
• Mentor and manage a team of developers
• Work with product managers or product owners to define technical architecture at product and feature levels
• Present to technical customer stakeholders and align approaches with customer needs
• Contribute regularly to open source projects on GitHub, Drupal, Stack Overflow or similar platforms

Required profile

• At least 10 years of production-grade experience with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Vue.js and Drupal; Laravel or similar frameworks preferred
• Product-based development experience, ideally on a SaaS offering
• Technical leadership and mentorship of a team of developers
• Collaborative experience in a product management team environment
• Understanding of test-driven development and expert-level knowledge in an area of PHP and Drupal
