Lead Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Architect to head design activities for our Sydney office. The role will manage projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams through concept development, schematic design, detailed documentation and construction administration.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review and approve drawings, manage design changes and ensure compliance with client requirements, budgets and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to resource planning, mentor junior staff and support business development through design input on proposals and presentations.

Required profile

• Accredited degree in Architecture and eligibility for professional registration (or working toward it).
• Proven experience leading architectural projects, including scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder communication.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, planning regulations and sustainable design practices, particularly in NSW.
• Ability to mentor diverse teams and communicate design intent clearly in writing and presentations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM and parametric design tools.
• Advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD and Rhino.
• Experience integrating structural, services and interior systems.
