Lawyer / Associate – Workers Compensation or Government Law

About the role

We are seeking a Lawyer/Associate to join our high‑performing practice in Perth. You will work within either our workers’ compensation team, advising insurer and employer clients, or our government and administrative law team, representing Commonwealth departments on public‑law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent insurer or employer clients on workers’ compensation matters, including appearances before WorkCover WA.
• Manage litigation in District and Supreme Courts for workers’ compensation cases.
• Act for Commonwealth departments and agencies on public‑law issues, including matters arising under the NDIS.
• Handle merits review proceedings and represent clients in the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 1 year of Practical Legal Training (PAE) and an interest in personal injury (plaintiff or defendant) or government/administrative law.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage own matters and competing deadlines.
• Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders.
• Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a desire to develop expertise in the chosen practice area.
