Kitchen Steward - Part-Time

About the role

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, a 241-room Premium Hotel by Accor, is hiring a part-time Kitchen Steward. The hotel sits next to Hyde Park and serves a mix of corporate and leisure guests, and hosts events such as Mardi Gras. The Kitchen Steward supports the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through dishwashing and keeping the area spotless.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen area spotless and ensure a constant supply of equipment and clean utensils to all outlets
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation, including cutlery, crockery and commercial equipment
• Recycle and remove rubbish
• Assist chefs with food preparation as required
• Follow all sanitation and chemical use guidelines, HACCP hygiene and WHS requirements
• Work a 7-day rotation roster covering AM and PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment is an advantage; commercial cookery students seeking practical experience are welcome
• Valid working rights for Australia
• Professional, well-groomed appearance
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays
