Kitchen Steward – Casual

About the role

This casual position supports the daily operation of the kitchen at Novotel Surfers Paradise. You will handle dishwashing, assist with food preparation and ensure a clean, well‑stocked work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cutlery, crockery and commercial equipment to the highest sanitation standards.
• Maintain a constant supply of clean utensils and equipment for all outlets.
• Recycle waste and remove rubbish promptly.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
• Follow HACCP, ALLSafe and WHS guidelines for hygiene and chemical use.
• Work a rotating roster covering AM, PM, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Positive, energetic attitude with a "Find the YES!" mindset.
• Good time‑management skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional, well‑groomed appearance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and public holidays.
• Valid working rights for Australia.
