Food & Beverage Assistant Manager

About the role

This is a hands‑on, full‑time position reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager at Novotel Surfers Paradise. You will lead the delivery of high‑quality service, manage financial performance and ensure compliance with liquor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Execute industry‑leading service standards and meet financial targets.
• Manage inventory, bar par levels, portion control and stock takes.
• Update systems with price and menu changes and oversee operational systems.
• Lead the team during the manager’s absence, including scheduling and training.
• Participate in menu planning, special events and future activation planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching and managing sizable teams in a busy bar/restaurant or conference environment.
• Strong analytical ability to continuously improve operations and drive revenue.
• Current QLD RSA and First Aid certification; RMLV desirable.
• Legal right to work in Australia (no sponsorship available).
