Kiosk Attendant

About the role

The Kiosk Attendant will work at the ACT Dickson Aquatic Centre, providing first‑class service to members and visitors. This role combines customer service, café duties and promotion of centre programs, offering a balanced schedule of mornings, evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all patrons.
• Maintain the appearance and presentation of the café area.
• Replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and food handling procedures.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handle cash, and process orders.
• Promote the centre’s services, programs and healthy food options.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patrons.
• Work flexible hours, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Positive, friendly, helpful and energetic attitude.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule during peak times.
• Previous barista or similar customer‑facing experience is desirable.
• Strong customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Barista coffee‑making skills.
• Operation of POS systems.
• Cash handling proficiency.
• Food handling certification.
• Current First Aid (Workplace Level 2) and CPR certificates.
• Police check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
