Junior Sous Chef – Blue Mountains Resort

About the role

Join the iconic Lilianfels Resort & Spa in the Blue Mountains as a Junior Sous Chef, supporting the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality dining experiences across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in leading the kitchen team to provide a profitable dining experience aligned with the restaurant’s vision.
• Deliver food for restaurant service, functions, weddings, events and experiential dining.
• Collaborate with Executive and Head Chefs to develop new menus, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Train new culinary team members and provide ongoing training to existing staff.
• Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs and coordinate with front‑of‑house staff for timely service.

Required profile

• Chef trade qualification (essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a fine‑dining, high‑end or hatted restaurant environment.
• Understanding of back‑of‑house operations including ordering, stock takes, rostering, menu planning and financials.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Located near the restaurant with a reliable vehicle or willingness to relocate.
