In‑House Legal Counsel – Commercial Agreements

About the role

Join KPMG’s Office of General Counsel as an in‑house Legal Counsel focused on technology‑driven commercial agreements. Working within a collaborative team, you will support senior leaders across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and help shape the firm’s rapidly expanding service portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on KPMG’s evolving solutions and service offerings.
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of agreements including master services, procurement, implementation, licensing, SaaS, managed services and outsourcing contracts.
• Assist in structuring and responding to tenders for service provision.
• Collaborate closely with client‑engagement, Risk Management, Privacy and IT Security teams.

Required profile

• Current Australian practising certificate.
• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience in a leading law firm or in‑house legal department, with a strong track record in commercial contracting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Commercial acumen to complement legal analysis and the capacity to manage competing priorities independently.
