About the role

Join Barry Nilsson’s national Insurance & Health practice as a lawyer working on a diverse range of litigious and contentious matters. You will handle professional indemnity, directors’ & officers’ and management liability insurance cases, as well as regulatory investigations and commercial disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and litigate matters arising from professional indemnity, public liability and health insurance lines.
• Handle regulatory investigations, prosecutions and commercial disputes for clients.
• Collaborate with a specialist team led by Perth‑based principals Toby Barrie and Jason Hart.

Required profile

• Practitioner experience in the defendant insurance space, preferably professional indemnity, public liability and/or health.
• Ability to efficiently manage your own file load and build strong client relationships.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of professional indemnity, public liability and health insurance law.
• Experience in litigation and contentious matters within the insurance sector.
