HV Installation & Commissioning Lead (ICL)

About the role

Aggreko is hiring an HV Installation & Commissioning Lead (ICL) for its Kewdale site in Perth. The role focuses on the direct technical delivery, implementation and support of high-voltage project solutions such as mine site power stations, data centres, government and temperature cooling systems. You will support sites across Australia and the Pacific alongside other ICLs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and support on-site technical aspects of project delivery, including mobilisation, installation, commissioning, testing and demobilisation.
• Work closely with customers to communicate project status, technical issues, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance against regulatory, internal and client requirements, including taking part in site safety protocols and audits.
• Take part in key project gate reviews (kick-off, mobilisation, commissioning and handover).
• Collaborate with commercial, bid/proposal and sales teams.
• Identify and escalate on-site technical risks or issues promptly.
• Contribute to project planning with input on on-site resource and equipment needs, and coordinate with departments so technical resources are available.
• Support the technical handover of completed projects.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience operating, installing and commissioning equipment on power generation projects of 5MW to 50MW.
• A current A Grade electrical licence and HV Switching Certification.
• Experience with PLC / SCADA integration and primary/secondary injection testing on transformers.
• ABB Protection Relay training is ideal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage several technical tasks at once.
