Human Resources Advisor – Queensland Health

About the role

The Department of Health is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join its People and Performance team. You will provide expert advice and case‑management support on complex employment matters across Queensland Health, helping to shape HR strategy and policy.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, compile and review data for quarterly Conduct and Performance (CaPE) reporting to the Public Sector Commission.
• Collate, analyse and report on case‑management data, offering insights and recommendations aligned with Queensland Health’s values and strategic direction.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on the management and resolution of complex employment matters.
• Apply contemporary HR management principles, public‑sector legislation, directives, policies, agreements and relevant employment frameworks.
• Undertake research and analysis to contribute to the development of advice, policy and strategic documents.
• Support Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health on complex employment issues as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HR management principles and public‑sector employment legislation.
• Ability to analyse data, produce reports and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Experience researching and drafting policy or strategic HR documents.
• Capability to work across multiple areas within a large, complex organisation.
